Sisley Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil, Anti-Aging Nutrition, Review

I have been tweaking and changing my skincare for years and never seem to settle on a routine for a long time. The main reason behind this is to be able to test more products and share my thoughts with you. After the testing phase is over, most of them are rather forgotten and I have to move onto the new ones. Despite all the product madness around my bathroom cupboards, there are some products which shine through and continue to stick around. Today it is about one of these products which I nowadays reach for every night, Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil.

Packaging

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil comes in a very chic deep violet glass bottle with a pipette drop applicator. I find the applicator great if you want personalized precision on your routine. I have experimented with different counts of drops and for found out that my face needs around 5 drops each time. With pumps it is usually hard to adjust the amount. The bottle offers a twist closure.

Application

I like applying my facial oils after spraying a hydrating mist (currently using Chanel Hydra Beauty Essense Mist). I use the pipette drop applicator to get 4-5 drops inside my palm and apply it while giving my face a short massage. I especially go over dry patches between my eye brows and around my nose. It is recommended to use it twice a day. I have tested it in the morning before my foundation and found that Sisley Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil indeed absorbed into the skin rather fast leaving a smooth canvas to work the foundation on. That said my preferred application is at night when I know that my skin regenerates itself and can get the most out of its anti-aging benefits.

Product

I see Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil as a all rounder. It has toning, hydrating, soothing, nourishing, anti-oxidant and anti-aging properties all at once. I apply 4-5 drops at night and in the morning my skin feels plumped, smooth and hydrated. I used it over a few weeks course especially concentrated on my dry spots and I can clearly see that they improved a lot. For example the dry patch between my eye brows, which always look flaky after I apply the foundation is more or less gone.

Two things to note which are important for me, although it is an oil, it doesn't look greasy and it didn't trigger my underlying acne problems until now. Also I have a sensitive nose and usually I stay away from aromatic oil scents, to the point that if they are too strong, I can't sleep after putting them on. Sisley Black Rose smells like aromatic oil but the smell in this case is divine. The ingredient list is not very long but it has big guns in there such as Squalane an antioxidant-rich, age-fighting emollient, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil with high levels of Omega-3, Prunus Domestica Seed Extract with antioxidant qualities and many other essential oils for nourishing and protection.
