Hi dear Color Me Loud readers!
I'm Alex, author of anonymiss.net and my beauty heart beats for blushes, lipsticks and brushes (aaaaand Tom Ford). When Sara asked me to be a part of her Guest Post Blog Series and to show my favourite spring products I immediately said yes! Spring is my favourite season (not only because it's my birthday in spring ;D), but because the nature wakes up from its winter sleep. It gets warmer so you can finally wear all of the beautiful outfits, that were hidden in the closets!
It is all about the glow
The most spring looks our favorite brands present us are full of pastels. But this is not my first choice, for me it's all about the glow ('bout the glow, not pastels... - yepp, thank me later for the song now playing in your head!). Because my skin is a bit dull at the moment, I have to help it with some magic stuff. So let's take a look what I often use for a glowy complexion:
The first step after moisturizing my face is applying Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone to the whole face (don't use too much of it, it can easily turn greasy!). Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation applied with Rae Morris Radiance Brush gives me a natural looking and flawless finish - so this duo is a irreplaceable for a glowy face! Unfortunately my skin is far away from perfect, so I need some concealing - there is nothing better than MAC Pro Longwear mixed with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer applied with a fluffy brush onto the under eye circles and blemishes. To hold everything in place but not to mattify the glow - Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Powder is my best friend!
Because I wanted the glow everywhere I chose the glowiest palette I own - Tom Ford Nude Dip (Fall 2014 LE). The colors themselves are nothing special, but! the effect is gorgeous! It is shimmery, for sure you have to like it, but the shimmer is very classy and not cheap in any way! It has so much expression and depth, so I often wear the palette by itself - without liner, like this time! At the moment I am using Clinique High Impact mascara, but I am not very happy with it. Any mascara recommendations for lenght & definition, please?
A little bronzer never hurt anyone, so I applied NARS Laguna light handed and highlighted my face with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone (the pressed version is amazing as well!). For my cheeks there is only one blush in spring time: Tom Ford Frantic Pink - a mix of peachy-pinky-perfection! If I had to use only one blush for the rest of my life, I would choose this one!
And here is the final result. On my lips you see Estee Lauder Charming from the new Pure Color Envy Shine range; I am really impressed and already bought a new shade (more will surely follow!).
Thank you for reading! I enjoyed showing you my spring favorites but I have to admit - I was a bit nervous - usually I do not post in English and this is my first guest post as well, so please don't be too harsh with me! Now I hope Sara enjoys her stay in the brush land and will soon be back with many amazing brushes!
