I hope you are all having a great weekend. Here the weather is great which will stay like this until tomorrow. It will rain on Monday, exactly when we are leaving. Insert evil smile here.
I have been playing with three of the shades from Burberry Kisses formula which was released recently. I don't own many Burberry lippies although I am big on their powder products such as eye shadows and blushes. I have tried their Lip Mists before and loved the formula, lightweight, sheer and hydrating. They also have Lip Velvet, which is their more pigmented line I have to yet try. Kisses line is supposed to bring these two together, offer more pigment while being hydrating. Here are my thoughts about the shades #05 Nude Pink, #53 Crimson Pink and #89 Rose Blush.

The color range of Burberry Kisses Lipsticks go from nudes to deep reds and it is available in 28 shades. Iconic colors such as Oxblood are also recreated with the new formula. Three of the shades I have tested are as follows:
#05 Nude Pink: It is a light natural nude with pink undertones. Nude Pink is the sheerest of the three shades I own which is as sheer as light colored Lip Mists but the formula has more hydration and more slip to it. Being that sheer, Nude Pink is also the shade which stays shortest on my lips. It wears around 3 hours on me but keep in mind I am a hopeless foody.
#53 Crimson Pink: It is a mid-toned natural pink with a good dose of pigment and a very hydrating feel to it. Crimson Pink is great for those casual days when you prefer an uplifting punch of color on your face. It is my favorite of the three I've tried, it lasted around 4-5 hours on me if I resist drinking and eating. Oh and I did just for the sake of this review, know you are loved!
#89 Rose Blush: It is a mid-toned plummy pink which almost looks like a my lips but better shade on me although swatches deeper. It is a great everyday color for me, especially during Fall I know I will take it in my handbag. This one lasts around 4 hours on me.

Swatch: Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Color #05 Nude Pink, #53 Crimson Pink, #89 Rose Blush |
Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Color #05 Nude Pink is great paired with a smoky eye or for a super natural no-make-up look, as I did this week for an interview. It looks like my cheeks were not properly blended, ugh, ehm, that must be, the light! Yes the light so please ignore. I am trying to make MAC Golden Rinse (reviewed here) work on my complexion as a blush/bronzer but the efforts show it doesn't. Gosh I am so pale! Need more bronzer lol. Anyhow, everything worked great with the interview thingy, so probably my ghostly no make-up face didn't spoil everything. But the lipstick shade, love it as a sheer casual color, it is hydrating and very light weight. I only wished it would stay a little longer on me. I posted the rest of the make-up on my face here at Instagram.

Yes properly bronzed! Bring it on LOL. This time it is MAC Delicates which I am loving (and recommending) at the moment. I am wearing Suqqu Ex-02 Yosaizora on eyes, which I am obsessed about at the moment. I might need a back up of that. Suqqu eye shadows are always a little tiny, which get me stressed about hitting the pan. Never happened before but I wore it over 10 times since I got it. The plummy brown and dark blue with a hint of purple, it is as if they designed it for me! You can see the rest of the make-up I used here.
Anyhow back to the lipstick. Burberry Kisses #89 Rose Blush is like a my lips but better shade for me, which doesn't blend to nothing but great for a natural make-up day. It is when you want to look polished but not necessarily super stylish. Rose Blush is also not very long lasting but very hydrating and it has enough pigment, love it.

And the last shade, Burberry Kisses #53 Crimson Pink has more punch of color, a lovely one for a casual but stronger lip day. I paired it with Sisley Palette in Dream, which is a natural metallic palette, another piece of makeup I can't have enough. I have Chanel Angelique on my cheeks, it makes a great combo with Crimson Pink. You can see the rest of the makeup worn here. I have posted this look yesterday with Dior Nude Air Review and everyone asked about the lipstick shade, so it seems some of you like it as much as I do. Crimson Pink is my favorite of the three I have tested so far.

All in all I really like Burberry Kisses formula. I find it to be hydrating and easy to wear. The pigmentation though seems to be varying within the line. Nude Pink is sheer while Crimson Pink has a good deal of color pay-off. The sheerer ones also doesn't wear long on my lips. I prefer more vivid and deeper shade of this formula. At least within the ones I have tested, these perform better.

Check out Sabrina's post from The Beauty Look Book for six of the shades. Looking at her swatches I might need bright coral. Claire from Visionary Beauty finds that the new formula accentuates her lip lines, a problem I didn't observe on me.
Final thoughts: I like the light-weight hydrating formula of new Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Color. The color pay-off differs within the line. As expected, the more nude they are, the shorter they last on my lips. I like Kisses formula especially with vivid shades on me. I can't usually wear very bright lipsticks so the sheerness makes it possible. From the three colors I have tried, my favorites are Rose Blush and Crimson Pink.
Have you checked out Burberry Kisses formula yet?
