Since I am coming to the end of the photos I have taken prior to my holiday, today I went out to shoot for upcoming posts. I have to say that melting lipsticks and a big head ache after working under noon sun was really no fun. Although it is only 30° C here, under the sun an egg would cook in an instant. I am using this opportunity to test lots of sun care products. I will post about my experience soon. PR take note, for next year I need some mosquito repelling products to test as well. As I am writing these lines on the terrace, my feet are being attacked under the table, grrr.
Today is my last post on Chanel Fall 2015 in which I talk about two of the products I haven't reviewed in detail. I know that I will pick up the red Chanel Rouge Coco Shine (Téméraire) once the collection releases in October in Germany. Other than that I am mostly happy with what I picked up, that is minus the eye shadow palette which I would like to write about today, Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs. I also have some comparison swatches of Chanel Joues Contraste #260 Alezane right after the jump.

Should I start raving about the design? The embossment on the powder is so gorgeous. This is probably why this palette made it to most of us's wish list. It is also consist of naturals, who doesn't like naturals? The reason why I ended up ordering though is the copper shade in the middle. I love me a nice copper and it was looking so pretty. I must have forgotten though that Chanel 5-Pan Palettes are considerably more expensive in the States than they are in Europe. I should have waited to swatch but October was so late.
Sine I lovce new formulation of Chanel Les 4 Ombres, I forget how I didn't like the 5-pan palettes in the past. I was not fond of Chanel Les 5 Ombres Oiseaux de Nuit Eye Shadow Palette (reviewed here) nor did I really like L'Intemporel de Chanel. The latter I never came to review not only because it was released very late in Germany but also because it was not so inspirational. I still remember how much I liked Charming Eye Shadow Palette (reviewed here) from Christmas 2013 so I was hoping for a quality similar to it.

But the moment I swatched Entrelacs, I was a little disappointed. The shades in the middle perform nicely but the shades on the left most and right most underperformed. I was hoping that the reason would be the preserving spray to keep the design intact but I used it already a couple of times and it didn't get better. Those two also need to be applied with fingers to show up on the lids since with the brush the color pay-off is too soft. The middle shade looks so gorgeous in the pan and on the swatches but on my eye lids the lustre is pretty much gone. The second shade from the left is a great matte shade to work on the crease and the second shade from the right is also very useful to build the intensity up. These two were the best performers. Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs unfortunately doesn't have the color pay-off of Charming.

Before I go onto two of the looks I did with Entrelacs, I would like to show you some comparison swatches of Joues Contraste #260 Alezane which were asked in the swatches post. Alezane is one of my favorite products in this collection together with Chanel Les 4 Ombres #254 Tissé D'Automne and Stylo Yeux Waterproof #918 Ardent. Chanel's Joues Contraste not only has a superb formula but there also come in very unique shades. Alezane is warmer than #80 Jersey (reviewed here), deeper, less shimmery and warmer than #84 Accent (reviewed here). Canaille, a stunning blush which never worked on me, is deeper and warmer. Evocation is close but a little warmer.

To start with, I would like to show you how Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs look on its own. The result reminds me of Tissé Mademoiselle (reviewed here) but even softer than that. I put the second shade from left on the crease, deepened it with deeper brown (second from right), the copper (middle) on the lid and added a bit of gold with my finger on the inner lid. It turned out to be a nice super nude/ neutral look which would go good with a strong lip or a no make-up day.

For the second look which appeal to me a bit more than the first one, I used Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Rouge Gorge (reviewed here) as a base to Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs. That way the shimmer on the copper shade was more prominent and also it turned out to be more coppery in general.

Final thoughts: As I like my eye shadows with a good color pay-off, Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs happened to be my least liked product from Les Automnales Collection for Fall 2015. I am loving Chanel Joues Contraste #260 Alezane for the upcoming season but if you have Joues Contrast Evocation, you might find it too similar to warrant a purchase. If you also like your eye shadows more pigmented, I recommend you check out Tissé D'Automne from the same collection, which I am loving so much.
