Givenchy Teint Couture #4, Le Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle and Noir Couture Volume #1, Review, Swatches & FOTD

I hope you are having a lovely weekend. In Germany today was the Reunification Day so it was a bank holiday. Sounds great right? Not all that much for me because all the stores are closed. I wanted to treat myself for being able to survive the first week but no chance on that. This weekend we have two Sundays like a person having two left hands! I am hoping to work tomorrow a little and turn my lecture free Monday into a shopping spree kind of day. Wish for the best. I am looking for some comfortable but chic shoes under dress pants. It is always a challenge to get something functional which looks good.

Today I have three products from Givenchy, a brand you don't see much in this blog. A reason for that is that because in Stuttgart we are lacking a Givenchy counter although they are really no exceptions in Germany in general. Since I can't swatch the products it is hard for me to decide so when I was given the chance to try Givenchy Teint Couture FoundationLe Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle lipstick and Noir Couture Volume #1 Mascara by the lovely Flaconi team, I was glad to do that. Here are my thoughts on these items.

Givenchy Teint Couture #4, Le Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle and Noir Couture Volume #1

I would like to start with the Foundation, Givenchy Teint Couture. It comes in a 25ml glass bottle. After the cap is removed, there is a pump dispenser which works fine to apply a few drops at the back of my hand. I apply this foundation with my fingers and go over it to blend and work into the skin using Rae Morris #27 Radiance Brush

Givenchy Teint Couture has a velvet to matte finish and a light weight feel. I would describe the coverage as medium and buildable. It doesn't get heavy while doing that. It has SPF 20 UVA/B protection with PA++. This is being provided by physical blocker Titanium Dioxide(nano). I haven't tried to use flash photography but I believe it might reflect a bit but we rarely do that in real life. There is also alcohol and fragrance in this foundation, in case you are sensitive to these. All in all it applies nicely and provides enough coverage for the day. The longevity is average on me, lasts around 5-6 hours before redness around the nose gets more prominent.  It doesn't dry out my normal to dry skin although it is more of a matte finish.

Givenchy Teint Couture #4 Before/ After

I selected the shade #4 Elegant Beige sight unseen and prayed until the foundation reached me. It seems my prayers were heard by the make-up gods. #4 is a great match for NC20 complexion with more natural undertones. It is very close to my great match Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation in #3 Fawn (reviewed here). You can see the rest of the comparisons below with Bobbi Brown Skin Serum #2 Sand (reviewed here) and Diorskin Nude Air 020 (reviewed here) as well as YSL Fusion Ink B20 (reviewed here).

Givenchy Noir Couture Volume is a volumizing mascara with an interesting whirling wand. The package is absolutely stunning. This is a mascara you would like to take out of your purse and just apply in public for everyone to see it. #1 is a black shade called Black Taffeta which is quite deep for the drama and volume. I have heard very good things about Givenchy Mascaras but this was the first one I tried so far. My lashes on the other hand are very hard to work with. Many great mascaras don't work on me since I have straight, full and thick lashes which are hard to get curled on the first place. So almost no mascara can hold the curl.

My lashes ended up having a nice volume and color by Givenchy Noir Couture Volume #1 but as it was expected, the curl situation didn't change much. Maybe I should give up. The only thing which works a little better on me is Chanel's Le Volume. Curled or not I like the end result of Noir Couture so I have been using it regularly.

Now the most exciting item from the three products I have tried, Le Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle is to die for. The shade, the feeling on the lips, the longevity. I really don't know any other lipstick which comes close to this. If you haven't tried a Givenchy Le Rouge before, I encourage you to do so. #203 Rose Dentelle is a great everyday lip which would suit lots of skin tones. It is a natural rose tone which is not too light nor too dark. It also has a bit of warmth or redness in there which makes it unique. Big love!

Swatch: Givenchy Le Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle

Here is a new concept, a swatch FOTD! Isn't that so irresistible once used all together on... ehm... my complexion!

Swatch FOTD: Givenchy Teint Couture #4, Le Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle and Noir Couture Volume #1

Alright, on my face? Here you go. I am wearing YSL Fall Quint which I thoroughly hate. The golden shade has so much fall out, worse than drug store quality. Note to myself, hold yourself back from YSL eye shadows! All that glow on my cheeks must be coming from the eye shadow haha.

The rest? Noir Couture Volume #1 on eyes (nice definition huh?), Givenchy Teint Couture #4 as a base and the most lovely Le Rouge #203 Rose Dentelle on my lips. Have I told you that I love this shade? By the way if you are in Europe, here is great news, Flaconi is now having a sale and Givenchy Le Rouge is part of it, check it out here (not affiliated). They cost just 28 €, which is really a very good deal for such quality and packaging. Here you can see the countries they are sending to and the shipping costs.

Check out Melanie's post for three of Givenchy Le Rouge shades, I am tempted by all three!

Final thoughts: Givenchy Teint Couture is a lovely foundation for the day with matte to velvet finish and lightweight feel. I wished it would be formulated without alcohol and fragrance. The sun screen is provided by nano physical Titanium Dioxide and it is given to be SPF 20. For 25 ml, it costs around 46€. Noir Couture Mascara is a nice deep black which provides the lashes with good volume. My favorite of the three items is by far Le Rouge #203 Rose Danielle. It has a beautiful shade, it feels very moisturizing, it is very pigmented and long lasting too.

Do you own and recommend any Givenchy products? What is your favorite?
