Wish you a wonderful weekend. Next week I will have a half week thanks to a public holiday on Thursday so I am gliding through the weekend more or less, delaying everything I have to do until Wednesday, human nature. It also started getting warmer in Germany. Last week it snowed!
I acquired some products from Bobbi Brown recently which I would like to share with you today. The brand released a number of collections and new formulas. From Beach Nudes Collection Highlighting Powder Pink Glow caught my eye with its unique two shaded appearance. Shortly after Malibu Nudes Collection hit the stores with very chic Nude Finishing Powders and Blush Duos. I got to test the Blush Duo in Sand Pink/Pale Pink from that collection which I would like to share with you today. For the lips there is a new formula called Nourishing Lip Color Oil-Infused Shine. I have #15 Berry to show you today.

Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder Pink Glow comes in a signature black packaging of Bobbi Brown. This highlighter has been praised throughout the blogosphere and I can understand why. It is a very intense metallic formula which blends like a dream so that it can be apply subtly or full on as desired. Although it is called Pink Glow, the shade is more of a champagne shade which would look good on warm or cool skin tones.
The compact has a generous 8 g/.28 Oz of product. There is also another shade called Bronze for deeper skin tones. This one appears to be sold out online in Germany but in the States Sephora has it. In fact I read that it is joining the permanent line. If you are in the market for a champagne highlighter, definitely check it out.

Bobbi Brown Blush Duo Sand Pink/Pale Pink comes in a sleek and sturdy compact, so sleek that it surprised me to read that there is 8.5g/ 0.3 Oz of product in it. Both of the blushes can be found in the permanent line although I find it convenient to have them both in one compact. Bobbi Brown Blushes costs around 28€ for 3.7 g so for 8.5 g, you are paying around 46€ instead of 66€.
If you are not familiar to Bobbi Brown blushes, here is what you need to know though, they are so pigmented! They blend easily but you need to keep in mind not to end up like a clown in the morning. Pale Pink is a gorgeous cool toned pink whereas Sand Pink is a neutral pink with a touch of red in there. I found both of them to be flattering on my skin tone although I ended up using Pale Pink more last week. You can also combine there as Sand Pink in a contouring fashion and Pale Pink on the apple of the cheeks which I did for the FOTD below. The swatches below are only one/two swipes, really impressive.

Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color Oil-Infused Shine #15 Berry is exactly what the name suggests, a mid-toned berry shade which appeared more red on my lips than swatched on my arm. One thing I really appreciate about this formula is that it is without perfume, yay! If you like your lipsticks nicely pigmented but would like it to have oils for lip care at the same time, this formula will check all the right boxes for you. I found this particular shade to be a little too deep for casually applying without a mirror so ended up not reapplying after it wore off after the coffee. I have to check the lighter shades of the range though, because I really like how it feels on the lips and how my lips feel after the application.

Above I am wearing Laura Mercier Extreme Nudes Palette (review coming up) on the eyes, Bobbi Brown Blush Duo Sand Pink/Pale Pink, both shades on the cheeks (deeper shade as contour) and Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder Pink Glow as a highlighter on the high points of the cheeks. On my lips I have Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color Oil-Infused Shine #15 Berry.

Final thoughts: I am really loving the highlighter in Pink Glow, the perfect metallic champagne shade which can be applied full on or can be blended for a more subtle highlight. Blush Duo Sand Pink/Pale Pink is a good investment if you are in the market for a well pigmented pink blush. Nourishing Lip Color formula is a winner. I would like to try it out in a lighter shade for an everyday nourishing lip solution with a touch of color and not as thick as a lip balm.
Have you picked up anything from recent Bobbi Brown releases? Any recommendations?

Die Lippenstiftfarbe gefällt mir richtig gut. Eine tolle Alltagsfarbe.
ReplyDeleteThe highlighter is rrrreally pretty! And I quite like the look of Sand Pink. I just don't think I'd get much wear out of Pale Pink.
ReplyDeleteThe highlighter has such a pretty glow!
ReplyDeleteI forgot how much I like Bobbi Brown powder blushes. I have Pale Pink and Coral. I also bought a few art sticks. I really like them, even though it might not be best for those with dry lips :-)
ReplyDeleteThe highlighter looks beautiful but the blushes would just be too pink for me. Thanks for your review.
